Scottish Esports Joins Team GB for Inaugural Esports Nations Cup
Scottish Esports has officially partnered with British Esports, Esports Wales, Fnatic, The English Football Association (FA) via England Gaming, and the UK Esports Team Committee (UKETC) to form the Great Britain team for the inaugural Esports Nations Cup (ENC). This major nation-based competition is scheduled to debut in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from November 2nd to 29th, 2026.
This collective effort is viewed as a major boost for the local competitive scene, specifically by strengthening crucial player development pathways. Mark McCready, Chief Executive of Scottish Esports, emphasized that the partnership provides an important opportunity for Scottish players to compete alongside the very best talent from across the home nations.
Local fans will have plenty of ways to support the squad as they compete across 16 different game titles. To bring the community together, Scottish Esports is planning to host its own separate watch party events during the tournament.

Jack "Doki" Robertson's Heartbreaking Run at the Six Invitational 2026
Scottish esports star Jack "Doki" Robertson and his G2 Esports squad experienced a dramatic, high-stakes run at the Six Invitational 2026 in Paris. After miraculously surviving the "Group of Death" with a crucial 2-1 victory over eventual tournament champions FaZe Clan, the team's run ultimately ended with a 2-1 loss to Team Secret in the lower bracket playoffs.
Following the elimination, Doki took to X to express his heartbreak, apologizing to fans for missing out on the main stage and highlighting how the fierce competition ultimately came down to the finest of margins. Despite the devastating early exit, the Scottish veteran's resilience and leadership throughout the event continue to cement his status as one of the nation's premier competitors on the global stage.
Now, G2 has to shake off the early exit and focus on the rest of the competitive calendar. With the BLAST R6 Europe MENA League (EML) kickoff just around the corner, Doki and his squad will be looking to use this tough experience to bounce back and dominate the regional circuit.
EA FC Pro Marc Marley returns to his roots with FNATIC Crew
Marc Marley is officially back with the black and orange, joining the Fnatic Crew as a featured creator and player. He’s got deep roots with the org, having spent years on their pro FIFA roster where he established himself as one of Scotland’s most consistent and respected competitive threats.
Lately, Marc has been a massive name in the ePremier League, most recently putting in work for Brighton and Tottenham. He famously made it all the way to the 2024 ePL Grand Final, and joining the Crew is a massive "full circle" moment for him as he moves into this new content-focused chapter with Fnatic and Red Bull.
Battle for Scotland makes Historic change in competition
Charge Esports has officially kicked off the Battle for Scotland (BFS) Spring 2026 split, and it’s a landmark season for the grassroots scene. For the first time ever, the tournament has expanded beyond the university and college circuit to include players from YMCAs across Scotland, opening the doors for competitors outside of the traditional educational system to get involved.
The competition is currently in full swing across five major titles: Valorant, League of Legends, Overwatch 2, Rocket League, and the newly added Teamfight Tactics. While sign-ups for this split are now closed, the addition of TFT as the first solo title and the partnership with YMCA Scotland marks a massive step forward in making Scottish esports more accessible to everyone.
